'Mere Porteuse', 'Fictional Pregnancies' and 'Settlement'

Abstract

Mere Porteuse, Fictional Pregnancies and Settlement are ink drawings that explore fantasies and imaginings surrounding maternity. The drawings do not resent the longing for an actual child, but rather an exploration of the idea that making art is in fact a maternal act and that we develop deep connections with unrelated children, as well as with our very own ideas, dreams and art works.
